WISE MODELING

CASEwise Systems Inc. introduced Modeler, a fully integrated product family that employs a shared common repository and lets users integrate business process and simulation with data analysis.

The Repository stores all objects and provides integration between each of Modeler's five diagramming tools: Hierarchy Modeler, Dynamics Modeler, Entity Modeler, Data Flow Modeler, and Matrix Modeler.

The Hierarchy Modeler lets users analyze the activities or processes of a business. The Dynamics Modeler produces Process Flow Diagrams, which provide graphic representations of business processes. The Entity Modeler provides a description of an enterprise. It helps users select the information a business needs to store in its databases. The Data Flow Modeler constructs data flow diagrams that show users the information inputs and outputs from different processes. The Matrix Modeler provides a mechanism for identifying intersection patterns and performing impact analysis.

Object Manager is an editor that sits over the repository. It manages objects in the CASEwise modeling environment in the same way that File Manager is used to manage files in Windows. Object Manager can also be used to configure the toolset, maintain corporate models, and control user access and privileges.
